Meet Milton Jackson, Tryston on Black Enough

Milton Jackson is an actor from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He plays Tryston on Black Enough

How did you get interested in acting/performing?

I’ve wanted to be an actor since I was a child, and I’ve always wanted to be Batman, so hopefully I can land that role sometime in the future. (DC, are you listening?)

What does it mean to you to be Black Enough?

To simply put it, to be Black Enough, means to be sure of who you are in your BLACK self and owning it. Regardless of how others speak or act, If you’re comfortable and unapologetic in who you are as a Black person, you’re automatically Black Enough. PERIOD POOH!

How did you get involved in Black Enough?

I found out about Black Enough through a casting website. I got an email saying I was a perfect match for one of the roles and that I should submit something, so I did and was fortunate enough to be a part of this awesome cast.

What excites you most about Black Enough?

Getting to see how the episodes come together, and watching the story of Amaya unravel and seeing how many people can relate to her in real time.

How does Black Enough compare to your own college experience?

I attended an HBCU instead of a PWI, but some experiences of the show were actually quite similar in my real life. It was kind of a struggle adjusting to my true “blackness” at first, but then I really came into my own as I got familiar with the culture.

What do you hope our audiences feel after watching Black Enough?

Most importantly I want viewers who are going through the same situations or similar, to know that they’re not alone, and that the journey to self discovery is a LONG process but it is so worthwhile and beneficial.

What's one fun fact about you?

I love to cook. And I cook VERY WELL. (If you don’t believe me, ask the cast/crew.) *inserts exaggerated wink*
